Padel, explained

The rules and the scoring, how levels and ratings actually work, formats that fit a small group, and how to keep a weekly crew showing up. Plain English, real numbers, no padding.

Who writes this

Rivals is made by a small team that plays padel every week, and these guides are written from that: the things a group of four actually argues about, checked against the International Padel Federation's rules wherever a rule is involved. Where we are unsure, we say so instead of guessing.

We also make an app, so this is not a neutral publication and does not pretend to be. When Rivals is the right answer we say why; when a pen and a printed sheet would do the job, we say that too.

Reading about padel is fine. Settling it is better.

Rivals is the padel app for a crew of four: log the matches, get a rating that explains every move, and keep the records, belts and seasons on one shared board.

Free for a crew of four. Nothing inside is metered.
